Alright, I’ll admit it. Sometimes, even bands I really don’t much like can pop out a single that is excellent. If you like catchy songs with an edge, then this song is for you. If you HATE catchy songs that sound like recording company drivel that’s being forced out onto the radio waves to influence your mind, forcing you into the hive mind of drivel and auto-tune madness, then you will probably like this song too. It’s that friggin catchy. Theory of a Dead Man as a whole sound a lot like Hinder, Staind, and even Seether to me. None of these bands are on my favorite list by any means, but can occasionally belt out one good song an album that gets my attention. Except Staind. I hate those guys. This track is a very good re-invention of the song “The Cat Came Back” from my childhood. It did force me to listen to about one minute of every song on the album “The truth is…” I also picked up the song “Villain”, available on the special edition album. The rest of the album did not have a sound or presence that made me want to purchase it. Hope you enjoy the single as much as I do.

This is a definite head bobber. It may at first come off as misogynistic, but within its context is referring to that one bitch, not a generalization. I still remember that silly little video that the source song was done to, and that really serves to mix the silliness with the sincerity quite well. That being said be careful. If you have a significant other and this song is in your rotation, make damn sure she has a sense of humor, lest calamity ensue. I expect this song to fall into a similar place in the music world as songs like “She Hates Me”, and “Goodbye Earl”. Certainly going to leave it’s mark and get some good press going their way.
